Working with data

Performance flags

Product reads enrich each item with media, pricing, related content, and more. On large catalogs you can skip the parts you don't need with opt-in hide_* flags.

Where they apply

These flags apply to GET/products/ and product search. They are opt-in: send nothing and the default (fully enriched) response is unchanged.

The aggregate flag

hide_extras=true turns off most expensive enrichments at once - ideal for admin grids, sync jobs, and bulk exports:

curl -s "https://api.readycms.io/products/?namespace=<tenant>&hide_extras=true&limit=500" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <app_id>:<app_secret>"

Granular flags

FlagSkips
hide_media=trueResolving poster / gallery / files into media objects (poster_url stays)
hide_prices=trueThe price calculator (discounts + multicurrency); raw DB price columns remain
hide_fields=trueHeadless fields (alias hide_headless)
hide_linked=trueLinked content enrichment
hide_related=trueRelated products
hide_meta_data, hide_author, hide_reviews, hide_statsThe named enrichment
hide_categories, hide_tags, hide_manufacturer, hide_attributes, hide_variations, hide_locations, hide_seoThe named relation
Tip
Syncing thousands of products? Send hide_extras=true and page through the catalog. You get the core fields fast, without the per-row enrichment cost.

Reviews, stats, and related products are also gated by their own switches (reviews=true, stats=true, related=true) - the enrichment only runs when you ask for it.
